Before taking to the stage with her husband John Burningham and editor / chairman of Walker Books, David Lloyd,  Helen met up with Regan Hutchins (late of the Winding Stair Bookshop).  They chatted about her work many years ago with Ivor Cutler, her interpretation of the Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and her thoughts on the digital age.

Eason roll out new Childrens Departments

Eason Bookshops has commenced a series of Children's Department re-fits.  The photos below show Dundrum. the first shop to get the new look.  The Department is split loosely into two areas, one for younger readers with lots of complimentary non-book product (and a area for activities and events) and one for teens and young adults.  This section is built around a high table and barstool arrangement, perfect for young customers to hang out and swap news about what's big in fiction.
The Explore Zone incorporates a flat screen which is currently showing lots of book trailers and author interviews from Walker Books.
